Those two inventions, more than any other, revolutionized light switches and made them more accessible, user friendly, and reliable.
Today, light switches are small and efficient, with an assortment of options and features designed to make life easier. They come in different shapes and sizes, with some even being embedded into walls. You can control lighting remotely, select a different intensity of light, or even control multiple types of lights with one switch.
The light switch may not seem like a revolutionary invention, but it has changed civilization as we know it. Without light switches, many of our daily tasks, from cooking to reading, would take much longer and be much more inconvenient. To think that something as simple as a light switch could have such a profound impact is remarkable.
